The brand on the outside of the cheese packet is nowhere near as flavoursome as the block inside . Nobody cares about provenance, heritage or age when price is the only real differentiator in the category. To top it all off, Public Health England have told us to cut down on dairy because it’s making us fat. As a result, shares in what was a staple of the nation have fallen as consumers’ concern for their health continues to rise.
